Staff Physician

Overview

UCI Family Medicine, a department of the University of California‑Irvine School of Medicine, is committed to promoting optimal health for patients, staff, trainees, and faculty. The department provides clinical services across a variety of settings, including family health centers in Santa Ana and Anaheim, advanced care centers, senior health centers, skilled nursing facilities, inpatient services, and obstetric deliveries at UCI Douglas Hospital in Orange. The incumbent physician will provide expert medical care to UCI Health patients, conduct routine examinations, prescribe medications, and participate in outpatient call.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine physical examinations and evaluate patients’ medical complaints and health history.
• Order diagnostic tests, refer patients to specialists when necessary, and analyze reports and test results to accurately diagnose conditions.
• Present and discuss treatment options with patients, prescribe and review medications, and advise on diet and lifestyle changes.
• Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and objectives while complying with all UC and FQHC policies.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all state and federal privacy laws.

Qualifications

Compensation & Benefits

Expected salary range : $237,000–$290,000 per year. Benefits include medical insurance, sick and vacation time, retirement savings plans, and access to discounts and perks. Total compensation includes base salary and available benefit options.
