ABOUT THE ROLE
As Accounting Manager, you'll lead high-value financial management for a portfolio of special district clients-from water and sanitation to fire and recreation. You'll mentor a team, present directly to boards, and be the financial linchpin for community-impacting entities.
You won't just manage financials-you'll own outcomes.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Lead Financial Strategy for Clients
Deliver monthly / quarterly / annual financial reporting packagesPresent reports and financial insights at client board meetingsProvide financial management for clients across all stages of developmentManage client cash, investments, and debt portfoliosGuide a High-Performing Team
Coach and support Assistant Accounting ManagersEnsure quality control of deliverables across a broad client portfolioDrive process improvements and system upgradesDrive Accuracy & Compliance
Oversee general ledger and accounting systemsCoordinate audits, year-end tax reporting and compliance filingsSupport financing structures and intergovernmental agreementsWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Must-Have Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field is requiredMinimum of 5 years of accounting experience (public sector experience preferred)Demonstrated client service orientation with professional presentation skillsProven ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneouslyPrior experience in staff supervision and team management requiredPreferred :
CPA or working toward certificationFamiliarity with Colorado Title 32 Special DistrictsGovernmental accounting software experienceReal estate industry experience a plusBenefits Snapshot
