Job Title : Technical Writer

Location : Vienna, VA or Pensacola, FL

Type : Contract

Compensation : Open to Both C2C and W2 options

Contractor Work Model : Hybrid (on-site 2 days / week)

Job Responsibilities :

Develop and maintain technical documentation, manuals, and guides to assist end-users and IT teams.

Gather technical information by interviewing analysts, engineers, and staff.

Research, analyze, develop, and maintain comprehensive documentation including user guides, API documentation, and technical specifications.

Plan, design, develop, and implement technical controls, procedures, and policies related to compliance, risk, and governance.

Translate complex technical processes into clear, understandable language.

Evaluate and improve content organization and structure for better content management.

Ensure documentation aligns with software development life cycles (SDLC), COBIT, or ITIL standards.

Perform editing and proofreading with high proficiency in grammar, style, and consistency.

Maintain a strong understanding of software development processes, data analytics practices, and methodologies.

Qualifications :

Strong writing and communication skills.

Ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple language.

Familiarity with technical documentation tools and platforms.

Experience with information architecture and content management.

Knowledge of SDLC, COBIT, or ITIL frameworks.

Advanced editing and proofreading skills.

Technical acumen in software development and data analytics.
