Project Manager IT & Business Initiatives
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver multiple medium, and occasionally large, IT or business initiatives. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of project delivery including scope, schedule, financials, resources, and risk management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT infrastructure, service management, and project governance, with the ability to drive results in alignment with organizational strategy and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction across cross-functional project teams, ensuring successful execution from initiation through delivery.
- Develop and maintain project communication plans to keep stakeholders, sponsors, and teams informed of progress, risks, and changes.
- Identify and allocate resources in collaboration with functional managers to ensure the right skills and capacity are in place.
- Create and manage project schedules, track milestones, and oversee critical path activities to ensure timely delivery.
- Monitor and report on project financials, including forecasting, budgeting, and cost-to-completion projections.
- Facilitate project reviews, audits, and executive reporting to ensure visibility and alignment with business priorities.
- Ensure compliance with established project management frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).7+ years of experience in IT, with exposure to applications, databases, networking, and / or infrastructure.5+ years of experience in project management, successfully delivering small to medium technology initiatives.Familiarity with IT Service Management practices (ITIL certification preferred).Strong understanding of security and compliance principles.Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Iterative).Skilled in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook) and exposure to portfolio / project management tools (e.g., Clarity PPM or similar).Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) preferred.Key Attributes
