Job Duties

Invest in Quality Management to improve efficiency and effectiveness for the General Services and Facility Management Unit. Perform a variety of administrative support functions for the General Service Manager and Facility Management Unit managers; perform a variety of tasks in ordering, receiving, storing, accounting for, distributing, shipping and issuing equipment, materials and supplies; and perform other related duties as required; accurately maintains receipts, records, and withdrawals from the Headquarters storeroom.

Minimum Qualifications

Working knowledge of office and administrative practices and can interpret and apply knowledge of the agencies programs and services sufficiently to accurately respond to customer inquiries. Manages the Headquarters storeroom, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of all supply-related functions. This includes purchasing, storing, distributing, and auditing office supplies using eVA and other inventory tools. The position supports Quality Management goals by conducting regular audits, supply usage analysis, and maintaining records in accordance with the Library of Virginia's retention guidelines. Additional support duties will include vendor invoice processing, switchboard coverage, and inmate transportation. Must be able to function well in a team environment and possess average computer skills in both, use of hardware and software applications or possess the aptitude to become computer literate. Must possess above average communication skills. Have knowledge of basic shipping and receiving practices. Must be able to lift items that may weigh as much as 50 pounds. Must possess a valid Class B CDL license with passenger endorsement.
