The Role
The AR & Chargebacks Supervisor will lead a small team responsible for accounts receivable, chargebacks, and customer payment processing. This is a hands-on leadership role : in addition to coaching and developing direct and indirect reports, the supervisor actively participates in reconciliations, reporting, and issue resolution to ensure timely, accurate outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise AR and chargeback staff and outsourced support, providing coaching, feedback, and cross-training.
Monitor AR activity, chargebacks, and cash flow; prepare and review reconciliations and journal entries.
Generate and distribute detailed AR and chargeback reports to management.
Partner with internal teams and external partners to resolve transaction discrepancies.
Track aging accounts, refunds, and adjustments, stepping in to assist staff when volumes increase.
Support month-end close with reconciliations, accruals, and reporting as needed.
Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls.
Requirements
5–7 years of accounting or AR experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
Strong customer service orientation and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, large dataset analysis).
Experience with chargebacks, reconciliations, and receivables reporting.
Ability to manage competing priorities while ensuring deadlines are met.
Hands-on leader comfortable stepping in to support daily operations while coaching staff.
