Senior Commercial Counsel Position Overview :
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and business-oriented Senior Counsel to join their legal team. This role will focus on drafting, negotiating, and managing a wide range of commercial contracts, with a strong emphasis on Procurement and EPC agreements. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience supporting complex infrastructure projects and vendor relationships in a fast-paced, asset-intensive environment.
Senior Commercial Counsel Key Responsibilities :
- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad spectrum of commercial agreements, including : Procurement contracts, EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) agreements, Master service agreements (MSAs), Vendor and supplier contracts
- Provide strategic legal advice to internal stakeholders across procurement, operations, engineering, and project management teams.
- Support contract lifecycle management and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Advise on risk mitigation strategies and dispute resolution related to commercial relationships.
- Collaborate with external counsel as needed on specialized matters.
- Stay current on legal developments affecting procurement and construction in the energy and industrial sectors.
Senior Commercial Counsel Qualifications :
J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.Minimum of 7-14 years of legal experience, with a strong focus on commercial contracts.Demonstrated expertise in Procurement and EPC agreements is required.Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage complex contractual relationships.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a business-minded approach to legal problem-solving.
