Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a Home Health role in a metropolitan setting, requiring at least 1 year of Home Health experience and a current CA OT license.

Responsibilities

  • Home Health position serving the San Francisco metropolitan area, primarily downtown
  • Shifts offered are 4x10 or 5x8 day shifts, typically 8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm
  • Caseload consists of approximately 5-6 patients per day with cases involving gait, strength, and range of motion
  • Patients may have a history of alcohol or substance abuse
  • No on-call is required for this assignment
  • Use of Kinnser / Wellsky EMR system; experience preferred but not required
  • Mileage reimbursed at the IRS standard rate
  • Locals within a 50-mile radius are accepted
  • Will need to be comfortable parking and walking in areas heavily populated with homeless individuals, though patients served will not be from this population
  • You will support patients with a range of physical therapy needs, including those with substance or alcohol histories
  • Scrubs of any color are acceptable as dress code
  • Orientation modules are required pre-start and will take approximately 2-3 hours
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Must provide all requested time off at the time of consideration

    • Requirements

  • Active CA Occupational Therapist license required at time of consideration
  • Minimum 1 year of Home Health and OASIS experience required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • At least one reference from a previous Home Health or Hospice agency required
  • Kinnser / Wellsky EMR experience preferred
  • License required if applicable
