About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : Minimum 2 years required

License : Valid KY or compact license required

Certifications : BLS & ACLS required

Must-Have :

• Flu vaccine required; no exemptions granted
• Some Impella experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted, but travel experience preferred

Description : FLU VAX REQUIRED.

No exemptions of any kind will be granted for travelers.

Some Impella experience preferred.

Shift hours are from 6 : 30 AM to 3 : 00 PM.

Patient ratios : 1 : 1 in the procedure room; 1 : 3-4 in prep / hold.

Weekend on-call rotation is required, usually every third or fourth weekend.

1-2 nights of on-call required; must remain within 30 minutes of the facility while on call.

Not open to accommodating block schedules.

Local candidates accepted from within a 65-mile radius.

Travel experience is required.

Patient age groups : Adults and Geriatrics.

Daily census details and specific room / beds information are not provided.

Interdisciplinary support includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, and Unit Secretary.

Common patient diagnoses include chest pain, aortic stenosis, arrhythmias, acute myocardial infarction, and more.

Special procedures performed include left heart catheterization, right heart catheterization, percutaneous coronary intervention, and others.

Special equipment includes balloon pumps, Impella devices, and EKOS machines.
