Corporate Accountant

A $4 billion AUM private equity firm headquartered in New York is seeking a Corporate Accountant to join its finance team. The role offers broad exposure to firm-level accounting and operations, with only two required in-office days per week.

Responsibilities

Support day-to-day corporate and management company accounting, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and reconciliations

Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements and management reports

Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and expense analysis across departments

Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and service providers as needed

Support accounts payable, cash management, and intercompany transactions

Contribute to process improvement initiatives and implementation of best practices

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

2–4 years of accounting experience; public accounting or financial services background preferred

Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and financial reporting

Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and organizational abilities

Self-starter who thrives in a professional, team-oriented environment

Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with accounting systems
