This is a temporary position from November 7th- December 24th, Wage : $11.50 / hour. Applications will be accepted Monday- Friday 8 : 30 A.M.- 12 : 30 P.M. and 1 : 00 P.M.- 4 : 00 P.M. Summary / Primary Purpose

The Kettle Driver exists to further the mission of the Salvation Army by transporting Bell Ringers, equipment, and donations during the Christmas Campaign. Must be of good moral character and able to interact with the public in a friendly and compassionate manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Transport Bell Ringers, equipment (kettles, aprons, badges, bells, kettle stands etc.) and donations to and from the kettle sites.
• Provide aprons, badges, kettles and bells to the Ringers, and collect items at the end of each shift.
• Conduct periodical site checks throughout the day to ensure that Bell Ringers are there as assigned.
• Secure monies at all times.
• Ensure vehicles are cleaned and fueled at the end of each shift.
• Maintain positive work atmosphere through appropriate conflict management, courteous demeanor, and professional and appropriate communication practices.
• Driving is an essential function of this position.
• All other duties as assigned.

Education and / or Experience : High School Diploma or Equivalent. Significant experience will be considered in lieu of.

Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal knowledge, skill, and / or ability required for this position.

Other Qualifications : Must pass all applicable background checks. Must possess a valid driver's license from the state in which you reside. Must be approved through The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Program to drive either a Salvation Army or personal vehicle on Salvation Army business. Must successfully complete Safe from Harm training within 90 days of hire, as established by The Salvation Army.

Working Conditions : The work environment is indoors and outdoors, with the potential of inclement weather conditions.
