HR Generalist / Accountant
Our client in Lee, MA is seeking a detail-oriented and people-focused HR Generalist / Accountant to join their team. This hybrid role supports both Human Resources and Accounting functions, contributing to employee engagement, payroll, benefits administration, and financial operations. Key Responsibilities Human Resources & Payroll
- Coordinate onboarding and orientation for new hires
- Support recruitment efforts including job postings, applicant communication, and interview scheduling
- Assist with benefits administration and open enrollment
- Organize employee engagement activities and events
- Manage uniform inventory and distribution
- Oversee payroll processing using ADP
Accounting
Process accounts receivable including invoicing, collections, and cash receiptsManage accounts payable including vendor invoices and expense trackingPrepare and post journal entriesPerform account reconciliationsOffice Administration
Provide professional reception and visitor hostingMaintain office supplies, beverages, and kitchen inventoryOrganize office operations and proceduresAssist with travel arrangements and general employee supportCoordinate company events and celebrationsAnswer and route inbound callsAdditional Duties
Conduct vendor / supplier credit checksAssist with account analysis, sales tax returns, and 1099 filingsPerform other duties as assigned by managementQualifications
Experience : Prior experience in Human Resources requiredBookkeeping or accounting experience preferredOffice administration experience requiredExperience with QuickBooks, ERP systems, and ADP is a plusEducation : High School Diploma or GED requiredAdditional education or training in HR, bookkeeping, or office administration preferredSkills : Strong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent organizational and time management skillsEffective communication and interpersonal abilitiesStrong customer service orientationAbility to maintain confidentiality and professionalismProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and accounting softwareOther Requirements : Must be able to pass a post-offer, pre-employment background check and drug screeningWork Environment
