  • Location : Bloomington, Indiana (47408) – Indiana travel nursing job\n
  • Facility : 4E - ICU / PCU, Short-Term Acute Care Hospital\n
  • Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 4 / 2025 – End : 2 / 3 / 2026)\n
  • Shift : Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (19 : 00 – 07 : 30); option for 4x12s\n
  • Hours per Week : 36 (option for 48 with 4x12s)\n
  • Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1890–$1940\n
  • Patient Ratios : ICU 1 : 2, PCU / MedSurg 1 : 4-5\n
  • Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend\n
  • Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours / week for 3x12s; 48 hours / week for 4x12s\n
  • Scrub Colors : Black bottoms, red tops\n
  • Charting System : Cerner EMR\n
  • Parking : Free onsite parking\n

    • \n\nCVICU Registered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana (must be in hand prior to start)\n
  • Minimum 18 months of recent CVICU or ICU nursing experience\n
  • Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program\n
  • Certifications : ACLS and BLS required; NIHSS preferred\n
  • Proficient in dysrhythmia interpretation, post-cardiac surgery care, arterial and central line management, blood product administration, and ventilator management\n
  • Ability to titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips\n
  • Previous charge nurse experience preferred\n
  • Comfortable floating within scope to meet facility needs\n
  • Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays during the assignment\n
  • Travel nursing or locum tenens experience preferred but not required\n
  • Two supervisor references required\n
  • IN residents are not eligible for this travel RN position\n

    • \n\nCVICU RN Responsibilities\n \n

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in CVICU, PCU, and MedSurg units\n
  • Monitor and manage post-cardiac and thoracic surgery patients (CABG, TAVR, SAVR, MVR, VATS)\n
  • Perform arterial and central line care, blood product administration, and ventilator management\n
  • Interpret and manage dysrhythmias; titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips\n
  • Care for patients with ventricular assist devices (LVAD / RVAD / Impella), intra-aortic balloon pumps, and post-cardiac cath / intervention\n
  • Float as needed to other hospital units or affiliate hospitals\n
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, etc.)\n
  • Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR\n
  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment for patients and families\n
