The Executive Director of Student Support Services will oversee the District Special Education Coordinator (including Special Education Compliance District MTSS Program and more ). Reports to Assistant Superintendent.

Eastpointe Community Schools is a community of 2300 students. We are proud of our Early Learning Center four K-5 Elementary Schools one Middle School and Secondary Campus supporting 600 students in grades 8-12 (an 8th Grade Academy a traditional high school setting for grades 9-12 and a Virtual Academy / Alternative Center).

Minimum Job Qualifications :

• Masters degree or higher with emphasis in special education administration.
• Eligible for Michigan Department of Education approval for Director of Special Education preferred temporary approval acceptable.
• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with at least four years of successful teaching in special education
• Three years of administrative experience as a principal assistant principal supervisor or other district leadership role preferred.
• Evidence of active participation and leadership in professional organizations.
• Superior communication skills in writing and speaking.
• Collaborative leadership skills.
• Strong relationship building skills
• Experience working with diverse school communities

Responsibilities :

Salary & Benefits : $101766 - $115500 based on experience. Includes a full district benefit package.
