Timeshare Registrations Paralegals will support the Legal Department by preparing, filing, and maintaining state and international timeshare registrations. This role supports the attorneys to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements governing the sale and marketing of vacation ownership interests, and is expected to demonstrate knowledge of applicable legal principles, statutory and administrative law, and regulatory rules and procedures. The paralegal will work closely with attorneys, business partners, and regulatory agencies to manage deadlines, coordinate filings, maintain accurate records, and provide research-based recommendations regarding regulatory and other vacation ownership-related legal matters that arise.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES :
Communication and Collaboration – Communicate thoroughly, clearly, and effectively both verbally and in writing. Draft cover letters, detailed emails, memos, and correspondence when working with intradepartmental peers and management, interdepartmental peers and management, external legal counsel and non-legal partners, and government entities. Explain, summarize, and relay complex legal concepts and ideas to various audiences, including non-legal individuals. Coordinate with various practice areas to inform decision-making and complete assignments. Maintain professional contact with attorneys, government agents, legal and non-legal peers and management, etc
Organization and Administration – Assist with complex projects to meet project deadlines. Prepare and maintain documents, spreadsheets, and reports for documentation and tracking purposes. Assist in managing and supervising Legal administrative and paralegal staff related to delegated tasks. Identify additional related tasks, and manage and complete multiple and / or additional complex responsibilities that may become evident and necessary to ensure efficient administrative operations within the Legal department.
Research and Analysis – Conduct legal research related to legal business including, but not limited to, researching, interpreting, analyzing, and applying federal, state, and local laws and administrative regulations and procedures related to registrations and regulatory compliance of vacation ownership plans and sales. Review, analyze, and apply provisions of condominium, vacation ownership, and other governing documents to inform legal support for projects, compliance, or inquiries. Synthesize research to provide logical conclusions and actionable guidance.
