Horses on Sunset is hiring Prep Cook for our A.M shift!
Candidates should be dedicated individuals who have a strong work ethic, a desire to work within a team, and be open to constant learning and be looking for growth within the restaurant.
Responsibilities :
- Following the prep list created by Chefs to plan duties
- Measuring ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking
- Labeling and stocking all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible
- Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc.
- Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food etc. Prepare simple dishes such as salads, entrees etc.
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
- Set up and prepare assigned station
- Strict adherence to health code guidelines. Clean, organize, and sanitize station
- Timely execution of dishes during service
- Organization and maintenance of storage areas, refrigerators, counters and shelves as needed
- Assisting in the production of any task assigned by the CDC and Sous Chefs
Requirements :
1+ years of kitchen experience in a high-volume environmentHave a current Food Safety Handlers CardAble to follow instructions as a member of the teamReliable, hardworking, proactive & organizedAbility to prioritize tasks and adapt to evolving situationsAble to work independently, without constant supervisionCompensation Details :
