Our client is hiring Physician Coders for various teams and specialities. The Inpatient Physician Coder is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and assigning accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for inpatient professional (pro-fee) services across multiple specialties, including Oncology, Orthopedics, Plastics, Infusion, Trauma, Evaluation & Management (E / M), Urology, Vascular, and General Surgery. This role ensures complete and compliant documentation to support coding accuracy, optimal reimbursement, and regulatory compliance.

Overview of Responsibilities :

  • Review inpatient medical records to assign accurate and compliant diagnosis and procedure codes for multi-specialty physician services.
  • Apply ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines in accordance with CMS, AMA, and organizational policies.
  • Code complex encounters, including trauma cases, surgical procedures, infusion services, and E / M services (depending on assigned team related to candidate experience).
  • Validate documentation to ensure medical necessity and support for billed codes, querying providers when clarification is needed.
  • Collaborate with physicians, CDI teams, and clinical staff to resolve documentation discrepancies.
  • Maintain productivity and quality standards for inpatient pro-fee coding.
  • Stay current with coding guideline updates, payer policies, and specialty-specific coding changes.
  • Support auditing and compliance initiatives as requested.

Requirements :

  • Physician coding experience
  • CPC or CCS
  • Schedule / Shift :

  • Monday - Friday
  • Flexible hours - 6am - 11pm EST
  • Part time and full time opportunities available!
  • Contract Length :

    800 Hours. Opportunity to convert to permanent hire after satisfactory completion of contract.

    Pay :

    $26 - $30 (Based on experience)
