Associate Director, Major Gifts

Established in 1985, The ALS Association is the only national nonprofit organization fighting ALS on every front.

By leading the way in global research, providing assistance for people with ALS through a nationwide network of chapters, coordinating multidisciplinary care through certified clinical care centers, and fostering government partnerships, the Association builds hope and enhances quality of life while aggressively searching for new treatments and a cure.

• This position is remote and open to candidates residing in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, or Tennessee
• POSITION SUMMARY :
• Reporting to the Sr.
• Director, the Associate Director is responsible for securing and growing major gifts in support of the ALS Association’s strategic priorities and mission.
• The Associate Director will build philanthropic partnerships with individuals and foundations to secure gifts at the $5,000 level and above and will carry an active portfolio of 125-150 supporters.
• Utilizing relationship management strategies this position will identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit and steward supporters to growing revenue and build a pipeline of major donors for sustainable revenue.
• Additionally, this position works as a partner to field-based Development staff who also carry a portfolio of $5,000+ donors.
• This includes assisting these partners with strategy development, cultivation and stewardship planning and execution, and providing support in all aspects of the execution of those strategies in order to solicit and secure support.
• The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic professional with strong relationship management and communication skills, committed to fundraising for positive change.
