Base pay range

$100,000.00 / hr - $130,000.00 / hr

Job Title : Structural Engineer

Work Location : Grand Rivers, KY (Kentucky Lock Dam)

Salary : Based on experience and will be discussed with the manager during interview.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Provide professional structural engineering and construction management support, serving as a general engineer and providing technical leadership for contractor-executed construction projects.
• Serve as the organizational subject matter expert on national standards and practices for structural engineering designs, foundation analysis of dams and lock structures, bridges, and roads.
• Review as-built drawings and reply to RFI requests.
• Perform quality-assurance inspections, structural fabrication inspections, and documentation review from a structural engineering perspective.
• Review construction lift plans involving cranes and rigging.
• Review contractor claims.
• Provide safety oversight, document such oversight, and direct corrective actions to ensure worker and public safety.
• Assist in interpreting and enforcing contractual provisions regarding contractor structural engineering requirements and deliverables; document and provide reports on contractor progress.
• Recommend authorization of progress payments based on observed contract progress.
