Construction Safety Manager

We're working with a well-established general contractor that has been building in the Midwest for more than a century. They're known for delivering complex, high-profile commercial and healthcare projects while maintaining a strong reputation for quality, integrity, and employee longevity.

The Safety Manager plays a central role in shaping and enforcing the company's environmental health and safety standards across multiple projects. This is not just a compliance role—it's about building a proactive safety culture where employees, subcontractors, and partners feel empowered to make safety a top priority.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the implementation of safety programs and policies across multiple active construction sites.

Partner with executives, project managers, and superintendents to identify risks before they become issues

Conduct safety audits, training sessions, and site inspections.

Mentor field staff and subcontractors to reinforce safe practices and ensure OSHA compliance.

Investigate incidents / near misses, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.

Support continuous improvement by contributing to the development of company-wide safety initiatives.

Qualifications

7+ years dedicated to construction safety, with at least 5 years in safety program / process management.

OSHA 500 / 502 certification, plus current First Aid / CPR / AED training.

Experience leading jobsite audits, training, and compliance programs.

Strong communication skills and the ability to coach and influence field crews.

ASP or CSP certification (or willingness to obtain within 2 years).

Bilingual in English / Spanish a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive base salary : $83,000 – $104,000 depending on experience.
