Responsibilities Work in the PACU unit in a hospital setting Assignment is 13 weeks in duration 12-hour evening shifts with weekends and holidays required Call requirement includes one 24-hour weekend shift per month and three night calls per month (11 PM to 7 AM), with a 30-minute response time Care for post-anesthesia patients, including those on drips and ventilators Testing on ECG / telemetry and medications is required during onboarding, with one attempt allowed Responsible for post-anesthesia patient monitoring and care Collaborate closely with physicians, pharmacists, and anesthesia teams Candidates should be prepared for frequent on-call shifts as part of department coverage First-time travelers will be considered Holiday and weekend coverage is required as part of the regular schedule Return-to-work policy requires a 6 month separation for previous employees or travelers Biweekly orientation offered Requirements Active MA RN license required at time of consideration Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required Minimum of 2 years recent PACU experience required Experience with patients on drips and ventilators required Must pass ECG / dysrhythmia and medication knowledge tests with a minimum score of 85% during onboarding Influenza vaccination required (medical exemptions accepted) COVID-19 vaccination and booster required (medical exemptions accepted) Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be accepted Cannot have worked in any capacity for the specified health system within the previous 6 months Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-626824.
