About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : Nursing Specialty : Labor & Delivery (L&D) Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM Hours per Shift : 12.5 hours Experience : 1-2 years of recent L&D experience required License : Required Certifications : BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NRP Must-Have : Mother / Baby and / or Nursery Experience preferred Description : The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient needs. Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Develops, implements, and coordinates individualized plan of care for assigned patients through initial and ongoing assessments. Initiates assessment based on the patient's problems or needs, the physician's medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework. Performs therapeutic nursing interventions. Manages care of patients. Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and / or clinical priorities. Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery. Provides patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Schedule includes every other weekend and at least one holiday per season. Patient ratios vary daily based on the types of patients being cared for, with Mother / Baby being 1 : 3-4 and Labor Patient being 1 : 2. Candidates must be highly reliable and available to work all days other than those that were pre-disclosed prior to the offer. Alternative jobs that would interfere with this schedule should not be held.
