JOB SUMMARY: Under general supervision supervises and Instructs children enrolled In the University’s Parent-Child Learning Laboratory to promote development of social, physical, and Intellectual growth needed for primary school.
This is a Grant Funded position.
Essential Duties Summary
Summary
- Prepares lesson plans and develops activities for the academic, social, and physical development of children.
- Instructs children in practices of personal cleanliness and self care to promote independence.
- Monitors and evaluates progress of students. Communicates with parents concerning the individual needs of child and curriculum progress.
- Assists the Director with center activities.
- Maintains files of attendance records, academic progress, and other documentation on assigned students.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of: - Federal, State, Local, and County laws.
- Childcare policies, practices, procedures, and regulations.
- Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications.
Skill In: - Problem-solving and decision-making.
- Multitasking and time management.
- Both verbal and written communication.
Ability to: - Work Independently.
- Prepare detailed plans.
- Ability to maintain the security or Integrity of critical Infrastructure, which may include communications systems, computer networks and systems, cybersecurity systems, electrical grid, hazardous waste treatment or water treatment system.
Work Experience
One to three years related experience.
