2nd Captain for European inland Waterways

Uniworld owns and operates a fleet of elevn intimate, boutique river cruise ships on the European waterways which cater exclusively to English-speaking clients.

To support our Nautical Team we are looking for an experienced and dedicated professional in the role of :

• 2nd Captain    Your responsibilities will include Navigating  the ship according to guidelines and safety regulations of the company Responsibility for  safety  equipment and safety regulations on board Maintenance  of our ships during the season and in winter time Being a team leader  of the deck crew, report to the first captain.
• You Have experience in similar role on  Rhine-Main-Danube Have experience with  Z-Drive  systems (is not a must) Have at least  license  for the Rhine until Mainz and / or Danube Are innovative, flexible and proactive leader and team player Have ability to communicate and conduct business fluently in  German  and / or  English Have good computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) You are willing to learn and grow in your role We Are a company with strong values; We are committed to our social, economic, and environmental responsibilities We are experts in  luxury  travel on and off the rivers We are warm and welcoming We have a strong nautical support team We are one company (nautical, technical, hotel) with short communication lines We are proud of our luxury product, our well-maintained ships and high safety standards Give you  stability , but also  flexibility  (Swiss Contract, flexible holiday planning prepared in advance -  2 / 2 or 4 / 4 - 170 days off  (travel days are noted as working days), social security coverage, travel expenses, uniforms and more) Take your  career  seriously (provide on-going development opportunities, safety and other training, promote within the organisation) Are looking for You!   You don’t find yourself 100% in the above but you still believe you would fit our team?
