About the Assignment

HumanEdge Health is seeking a compassionate and adaptable Travel Psychiatric RN to join the Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Unit at a leading facility in Bridgeport, Connecticut . The ideal candidate will have prior experience in psychiatric or behavioral health settings and be comfortable working with children and adolescents in an acute inpatient environment.

Assignment Details

Schedule : 5x8-hour rotating shifts

Rotations may include 7a–3 : 30p, 3p–11 : 30p, or 11p–7 : 30a

Shift times may be negotiable—discuss with the manager during interview

Hours : 40 hours per week guaranteed

On-Call : None

Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend (travelers available every or most weekends highly preferred)

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care and therapeutic support to child / adolescent psychiatric patients

Participate in treatment planning, patient education, and behavioral management interventions

Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and multidisciplinary team members to ensure quality care

Monitor patient behavior, administer medications, and respond to crises appropriately

Maintain accurate and timely documentation according to facility and regulatory standards

Qualifications

License : Active Connecticut RN license (required prior to start)

Experience :

Minimum 6–12 months of recent psychiatric or behavioral health RN experience (1+ year preferred)

Certifications : BLS (AHA) required

Preferred :

Experience in child / adolescent psych or inpatient behavioral health settings

Strong de-escalation and crisis intervention skills
