ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Waterbury, Connecticut.

Job Details : \n

  • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM

    • \n

  • Schedule : 3x12 hour nights per week

    • \n

  • Weekend coverage required every other weekend

    • \n

  • Float pool assignment required

    • \n

  • Patient ratios : 5 : 1 during days, 6 : 1 during nights

    • \n

  • LTAC experience required

    • \n

  • 1 year of nursing experience minimum

    • \n

  • Unit accepts first-time travelers

    • \n

  • 36-hour orientation provided

    • \n

  • Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

    • \n

  • Documentation system : Cerner (required experience)

    • \n

  • Medication system : Omnicell

    • \n

  • Communication system : SBAR

    • \n

  • Dress code : Navy blue scrubs

    • \n

  • Care for adult and geriatric patients with cardiac conditions including heart failure, Afib, stroke, and post-cardiac catheterization

    • \n

  • Required skills include cardiac telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, blood product administration, central line care, heparin protocols, and management of cardiac drips

    • \n

  • Experience with pacemakers, post-MI care, CVA management, and isolation precautions required

    • \n

  • Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
