Job Description
This position's primary responsibilities fall into three categories : support for Business Partners program, external engagement, and student retention. This position provides support to the College of Business and Humanities, effectively communicates with stakeholders, and assembles highly confidential and sensitive information. Engages with a diverse group of internal and external inquiries and visitors to campus.
A key function of this position is to generate interest and leads for the College of Business and Humanities (COBH), working closely with Admissions. Key components include outreach to prospective students, establishing business and community contacts, and promoting programs through a variety of platforms and strategic networking. While Admissions will manage the recruitment funnel, this individual will collaborate closely with the Admissions team, participating in specialized training as needed. In addition, this individual will work to support current student success including, but not limited to, coordinating and communicating with support services, as well as informal and formal student advising and guidance.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
The ability to perform all duties associated with the position including, but not limited to lifting up to 35 pounds, prolonged standing, sitting, bending, stooping, and operating or performing work with associated tools and displays.
This is a full-time 12-month position, with 25% travel requirements. General work days are Monday through Friday, though there will be limited evenings and weekends required. This individual will be functionally located within the College of Business and Humanities. Formative and summative evaluations will be done in collaboration with the supervisor.
Occasional travel with the infrequent overnight stays is expected for this position (e.g. to partnering institutions or higher education, high schools, conferences). A valid US Drivers' license with a safe driving record is required, and the energy and ability to travel. No international travel is required.
High school diploma required. Experience in higher education, specifically with regard to recruiting or student services. Strong interpersonal communication skills, work ethic, attention to detail, organizational skills, the ability to learn and adapt to various computer software, and the ability to learn and work independently are essential.
Four-year degree or equivalent experience in business. Event planning with coordination experience is helpful. Marketing experience is helpful. Proven experience as a recruiter, preferably in business and / or humanities. Work effectively with others to achieve common goals and an ability to alter planned activities in order to accommodate new or changed situations.
