Consulting Practice Leader – Platform Engineering

Base pay range : $250,000.00 / yr - $325,000.00 / yr

Work Authorisation : Must be authorised to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available)

Experience : 10–15 years

Compensation : Competitive and commensurate with experience

Role Overview

The Consulting Practice Leader – Platform Engineering will define and lead the strategic vision for a high‑growth engineering consulting practice. This role is pivotal in driving digital transformation, modern software engineering, and platform innovation for enterprise clients. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical acumen with strong leadership, business development, and client engagement skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of the practice’s strategic roadmap.
  • Drive growth through new market opportunities and technology‑led offerings.
  • Build and mentor a high‑performing engineering team (~25 members).
  • Oversee the creation of frameworks, SDKs, and reusable components to accelerate client delivery.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic engineering and digital transformation insights.
  • Support pre‑sales, client presentations, and negotiations to drive revenue growth.
  • Ensure operational excellence through best practices, governance, and quality delivery.
  • Stay ahead of emerging technologies and promote innovation across the practice.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in engineering within IT consulting environments.
  • 5+ years in client‑facing leadership roles .
  • Proven record of building software frameworks, SDKs, or components .
  • Demonstrated ability to drive business growth and P&L ownership in a tech services organisation.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites.
  • Must have U.S. work authorisation (no visa sponsorship available).
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in cloud computing, microservices, DevOps, and agile methodologies .
  • Understanding of digital transformation , AI , IoT , and data analytics trends.
  • Prior experience with leading IT consulting firms or high‑growth tech services organisations.
  • Reporting & Scope

  • Reports to : President of Engineering Practice (one level below CEO).
  • Interview process : 4–6 stages, including discussions with executive leadership.
