We are partnering with a growing manufacturer in Columbia, SC that is seeking an Accounting Assistant with a strong focus on Accounts Payable to join their accounting team.
Key Responsibilities :
- Enter and reconcile payables for vendors and intercompany accounts
- Process payments, reconcile bank statements, and assist with purchase orders / supplies
- Maintain vendor and customer records, ensuring documentation is up to date
- Support sales tax reporting and compliance
- Assist with Accounts Receivable tasks including credit applications and payment processing
- Provide general accounting and administrative support as needed
Qualifications :
Associate’s degree in Accounting plus 1 year of related experience or 4 years of relevant experienceProficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)Experience with QuickBooks Desktop (required)Sales tax experience (preferred)Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
