As a split Therapist you will have the opportunity to provide individual, family, and group therapy in the STEP Partial Hospital Program (PHP) and individual therapy in the Outpatient Therapy (OP) program. This position offers a unique opportunity for hands-on training and professional growth, allowing you to learn and apply a variety of therapeutic modalities in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.
About STEP Programs
The STEP (Skills, Transitions, Exploration, and Progress) program provides Partial Hospitalization services to youth ages 12-17. The goal of the STEP program is to provide intensive, short-term stabilization services to enable our clients to step down to lower levels of outpatient mental health treatment. All groups are designed to teach youth the skills necessary to help them learn about their mental health, provide psychoeducation, and help them learn skills to feel better and be safe. STEP consists of a multidisciplinary team of counselors, clinicians, a nurse, psychiatrist, and program supervisor.
About Outpatient
Seneca Family of Agencies' Outpatient program is responsible for the ongoing provision of culturally competent mental health services to clients between the ages of 5 - 22 and their families, including individual and family therapy. The Outpatient program utilizes a set a practices which have been determined by the ethnic community consensus to yield positive results and reached a level of acceptance by the community being served. The families that we serve identify as Latinx or African / African American. Interventions shall infuse a world view, contextual aspects and include a set of practices that are culturally rooted as a central and fundamental approach.
