Title : Working Leaderman
Location : Fourchon, LA
Job Overview : A Working Leaderman is responsible for directing his / her workforce in the successful implementation of craft-specific activities as it relates to associated shipbuilding and / or repair functions.
Key Responsibilities :
Direct and coordinates related craft activities.
- Develops, reviews, and maintains schedules, budgets and other essential records.
- Able to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and other technical guidance documentation.
- Ensures material and labor resources necessary to accomplish tasks are readily available.
- Meets with other supervisors to coordinate craft efforts.
- Optimizes efforts to produce a high-quality work product consistent with Company standards.
- Trains and motivates the workforce to result in high levels of productivity.
- Responds to daily personnel, equipment and facility issues; develops viable solutions and remedial actions.
- Provides specific task requirements, technical and hands-on guidance to subordinates.
- Must be able to work in confined / enclosed spaces.
- Must be able to work / climb in elevations greater than 5’.
Experience :
Five (5) years shipbuilding / repair or three (3) years of continuous Company experience in a similar position preferred.
Skills and Abilities :
Possesses in-depth knowledge of craft-specific processes and techniques.
