Duties / Responsibilities :
Educating patients on oral healthcare.Examining teeth and diagnosing patients dental conditions by using tools such as X-rays.Assessing treatment options and agreeing treatment plans with patients.Carrying out agreed clinical treatments such as restoring teeth affected by decay and treating gum disease.Maintaining patients dental records.Recruiting, training, and managing staff.Perform procedures such as fillings, extractions, crowns dentures, etc.Maintains patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.Required Skills / Abilities :
Basic understanding of computers; previous EMR experience is helpful.Ability to relate with warmth and effectiveness to the patients and other healthcare providers of the community health center.Aptitudes for performing dental procedures desired.Bilingual language skills, preferred.Must be skilled in Basic Life Support techniques.Qualifications and Education :
Graduation from an accredited dental school with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S)Certified by the Arkansas State Board of Dental Examiners.Unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the State of Arkansas.Unrestricted prescriptive authority (DEA registration#).This position is governed by mandated Federal and State regulations and the policies and procedures of River Valley Primary Care Services.
The dentist is a dental care professional who provides preventative and restorative treatments for problems that affect the mouth and teeth.
