Job Description :
Our client is seeking an IT Business Systems Analyst with experience in HCM systems to support the implementation and optimization of UKG. This role will partner with both business and IT leaders to design, test, and deliver system functionality that supports performance reviews, succession planning, employee development, and related HR processes.
The analyst will serve as the link between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring requirements are well-defined, translated effectively, and validated through testing and deployment.
In this role, you will :
- Partner with another BA to understand HR and Talent Management needs and translate them into IT and system requirements.
- Develop user stories, design scenarios, and acceptance criteria; ensure requirements are clear and testable.
- Conduct system, unit, integration, and user experience testing to confirm solutions meet business expectations.
- Support the development of reporting requirements (not building reports directly, but helping to define and translate business needs into technical specifications).
- Participate in data validation and system implementation activities.
- Help design and refine the future state of Talent Management processes within the UKG platform.
- Ask critical questions, identify gaps, and ensure solutions align with desired business outcomes.
- Provide input into deployment readiness and support program rollout in late 2026.
What We're Looking For :
Must Have :
3+ years of experience in IT, HRIS, or Business Analysis roles with exposure to system implementation lifecycles.Strong background in requirements gathering and user story creation.Background in system testing, report design / translation, and HR systems integration.Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications, especially for reports and dashboards.Strong collaboration and communication skills across business and technical teams.Self-starter who can ask the right questions, challenge assumptions, and ensure solutions meet business goals.Nice to Have :
Previous experience with UKG (or similar HCM platforms such as Workday, Oracle HCM, or SuccessFactors).Experience working with HR or Talent Management modules (performance, succession, development, or similar).Location : Seattle, WA (Onsite Tues / Weds / Thurs, WFH Mon / Fri).
Length of Assignment : Through 12 / 31 / 2026
Compensation Range : up to $70 per hour
