Wespath, recognized as a 2017-2025 Chicago's Best and Brightest Companies to Work For® and a 2018-2025 National Best and Brightest Companies to Work For®, has an opportunity for a Senior Investment Analyst - Public Markets that provides analytics and portfolio management support for Wespath's public markets funds. As a member of the Public Markets team, the analyst will generate reports and conduct research as needed to effectively support the management of investment funds. The analyst will work closely with members of the Investment Research and Sustainable Investment teams to support integration of research and ESG factors into the process. The analyst will also support other investments team members by gathering information from external asset managers to analyze positions and produce reports.
More specifically, as a Senior Investment Analyst - Public Markets you will have the following key responsibilities :
- Support the Chief Investment Officer, Investment Management, Sustainable Investment Stewardship, and Institutional Investment Services departments by analyzing, monitoring, and evaluating existing and prospective investment positions.
- Proactively create and lead projects that address the analytics needs of the Investment Management team.
- As a member of the Public Markets team, maintain and update the analytical tools, as necessary.
- Crosstrain with and back-up members of the Analytics team on all reporting and analytics functions.
- Create and distribute a variety of monthly and quarterly financial and investment-related reports.
- Support all Investment Management staff in the hiring and on-going due diligence of external asset management relationships.
- Attend meetings and interact with investment managers.
- Prepare presentations on investment topics and fund / market updates and present them to the Investment Division, the Wespath Investment Committee, and others.
- Respond to various ad hoc requests from the CIO, Investment Management, Sustainable Investment Strategies, and Institutional Investment Services departments.
- Support analytics and investment reporting content and website maintenance for the Wespath websites, as well as the Investment Department intranet and external report filing service.
Senior Investment Analyst - Public Markets Benefits and Compensation :

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting or equivalent work experience.5+ years of analytical experience of investment and financial data.Strong PC skills in all Microsoft Office applications.Preferred Qualifications
Progress towards Chartered Financial Analyst designation or MBA degree.Knowledgeable and conversant about financial markets.Experience with or demonstrated aptitude for learning industry-standard investment analytics software packages such as Bloomberg, FactSet, Wilshire Compass, Aladdin or eVestment.Wespath Benefits and Investments is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate in hiring.
