The Role

This position oversees daily accounting operations, month-end close, and financial reporting while leading a small, capable team. You’ll partner closely with divisional leadership to streamline processes, support business decisions, and ensure accuracy across the financials.

What You’ll Do :

• Lead month-end close and prepare accurate financial statements (P&L, balance sheet)

Oversee general ledger, AP, AR, and payroll

Manage and mentor 3–4 accounting team members

Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis

Support internal / external audits and ensure GAAP compliance

Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and logistics

Recommend and implement process or system improvements

Must-Haves

Month-end close expertise with the ability to prepare financial statements (P&L)

Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or a similar industry

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Comfortable working in a blue-collar environment

Critical thinker and self-starter who can work with minimal supervision

Like-to-Haves

Private equity experience

People management / leadership experience

Process and system improvement expertise

Strong systems and Excel skills

Cost accounting or job costing experience

Location : On-site in Near Troy & Piqua, Ohio

Schedule : Flexible hours (approx. 7–4, 7 : 30–4 : 30, or 8–5)

Engagement : 2–3+ month consult-to-hire

Reports To : CFO

Start Date : ASAP

Interview Process : Two steps (one on-site)
