AMETEK is seeking a Production and Planning Supervisor who is responsbile for directing and coordinating activities of the production and planning in manufacturing products. The role will report to the Operations Director.

Essential Duties :

  • Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
  • Reviews production orders or schedules to manage on time delivery, reduce late shipments and optimize through put in the plant.
  • Coordinate material movement with shipping service personnel.
  • Ensure the scheduling of employees in different areas for cross training purposes.
  • Review job card changes with production operators prior to running and coordinate with planning, and quality.
  • Daily review of capacity ledger entries to ensure accurate reporting of production data.
  • Communicate with purchasing to support initiatives regarding plant consumables.
  • Assist with the initial troubleshooting of production equipment issues and involve maintenance as needed.
  • Planning, scheduling and coordinating production of the company's products
  • Evaluating raw materials and equipment to ensure everything is in place for production
  • Coordinate with purchasing to ensure raw material deliveries and quality align with plant shipment requirements.
  • Responsible for ensuring raw material samples are delivered to the lab and tested prior to production commencing.

Skills :

  • Must be detail-oriented with strong critical thinking and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays as required.
  • Ability to lead, manage, develop, and coach personnel.
  • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or other technical discipline preferred
  • Five to seven years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Physical Requirements :

  • This position requires walking, standing, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, seeing, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
  • Ability to work around and on industrial equipment.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment (e.g., forklift, scissor lift, front-end loader, payloader)
  • Ability to ascend and descend stairs and ladders.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
  • Must be willing to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances.
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to : hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots, and hearing protection.

    Employee Type : Salaried

    Salary Minimum : $85,000

    Salary Maximum : $100,000
