Job ID : 89135

Do you want to work on complex and pressing challenges—the kind that bring together curious, ambitious, and determined leaders who strive to become better every day? If this sounds like you, you've come to the right place.

Your Impact

Your mission will be to help clients capture and scale the value of data and technology, enabling them to operate, innovate, and excel like leading technology companies.

Our practice areas for technology, data, and AI include : Strategy & Performance, Talent & Operating Model, Technology Modernization, and Data Transformation. Leveraging our structured DRIVE framework, the Data Acceleration Lab, and an ecosystem of over 50 assets, we ensure rapid, impactful, and full-scale data transformations, turning data into a strategic business asset.

As a seasoned data leader with vision, authority, and expertise, you will guide organizations through large-scale transformations. As an Associate Partner, you will serve as a trusted advisor to C-suite leaders, helping clients unlock the value of their data by shaping enterprise-wide strategies, architecting extensible data platforms, embedding data governance at scale, and enabling modern AI and agentic systems.

You will collaborate closely with our engineering, product, and technology teams to accelerate impact, positioning data as a strategic asset and fostering innovation through AI, GenAI, and agentic systems. Additionally, you will contribute to the evolution of McKinsey's data transformation assets—reference architectures, governance frameworks, and accelerators—and mentor the next generation of leaders within the firm.

Among your key responsibilities you will shape enterprise data strategy by defining holistic data strategies that enhance customer experience, unlock new revenue streams, and establish competitive advantage. Identify, develop, and acquire critical data products and assets with cross-enterprise value, including real-time, unstructured, and proprietary data sources. You will also advise on ecosystem partnerships to enable privileged data access and innovative client offerings.

Your work will include modernizing data architectures and platforms, i.e. leading the design of scalable, secure, and interoperable data architectures (e.g., Mesh, Lakehouse, Fabric) across products, platforms (e.g., low code no code), and cloud environments. Build modern platforms that seamlessly handle master data and unstructured data for advanced analytics and AI use cases using LLMs and SLMs. Embed capabilities for real-time data ingestion, processing, and streaming to enable faster insights and responsiveness (e.g., Prompt engineering). Drive adoption of best practices in data / AI modeling (e.g., data / digital twin), data pipelines, and GenAI and agentic architectures.

You will drive data governance and AI-driven data management, champion enterprise data governance, data quality, master data management, metadata management, and compliance practices. You will deploy AI-driven data management approaches and tools (e.g., DataOps, MLOps, LiveOps) to automate data observability, cataloging, data quality monitoring, enrichment, and lineage. Staying ahead of industry and regulatory developments impacting data and AI, you will advise clients on responsible adoption (e.g., Data / AI Ethics).

You will be responsible for enabling innovation and change leadership; inspire adoption of next-generation AI / GenAI-driven practices in data discovery, governance, and collaboration (e.g., Knowledge graph, Data vault modeling); lead change management programs to align executive stakeholders and build sustainable capabilities.

You will ensure growth of the Data Practice. Partnering with data and analytics industry leaders to create new AI, GenAI, and agentic-enabled capabilities. You will be building thought leadership by shaping the external dialogue on the future of data, developing reusable data transformation assets and accelerators in GenAI, agentic systems, and AI-powered governance. Finally, you will mentor and coach colleagues across disciplines.

Your Growth

Driving lasting impact and building long-term capabilities with our clients is not easy work. You are the kind of person who thrives in a high performance / high reward culture — doing hard things, picking yourself up when you stumble, and having the resilience to try another way forward.

In return for your drive, determination, and curiosity, we'll provide the resources, mentorship, and opportunities you need to become a stronger leader faster than you ever thought possible. Your colleagues—at all levels—will invest deeply in your development, just as much as they invest in delivering exceptional results for clients. Every day, you'll receive apprenticeship, coaching, and exposure that will accelerate your growth in ways you won't find anywhere else.

When you join us, you will have :
