Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care in Primary Care. This role involves performing physical examinations, diagnosing and treating illnesses, and assisting in various medical procedures. The Advanced Practice Provider will play a crucial role in enhancing patient outcomes and ensuring a positive healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and patient assessments.
  • Diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions under the supervision of a physician.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for all patient interactions.
  • Provide basic life support as needed during emergencies.
  • Assist in public health initiatives and promote wellness among patients.
  • Participate in hospice palliative medicine, ensuring compassionate care for patients with serious illnesses.
  • Perform suturing and other minor surgical procedures as required.
  • Provide care in pediatrics, addressing the unique needs of younger patients.
  • Manage infectious disease care, ensuring appropriate treatment protocols are followed.
  • Execute phlebotomy procedures for blood sampling and testing.

    • Skills

  • Proficient in maintaining medical records with attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of basic life support techniques and protocols.
  • Excellent skills in conducting thorough physical examinations and patient assessments.
  • Understanding of public health principles and practices.
  • Experience or training in hospice palliative medicine is advantageous.
  • Ability to perform suturing with precision and care.
  • Knowledge of pediatric care practices is preferred.
  • Familiarity with infectious disease management protocols is beneficial.
  • Competence in phlebotomy techniques for effective blood collection.

    License to practice medicine as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

    DEA License

    CDS Certification

    ACLS Certification
