SERVICE AGENT - HYBRID IN HOWELL, MI
A nationally industry-leading Property & Casualty insurance company that's been honored as One of America's Top Employers (Forbes) and a Best Place to Work (Business Insurance) is seeking bright, motivated people for a Service Agent position. This is a stable, hybrid role based out of Howell, MI.
In this role, you will be handling incoming calls and emails from Customers and Agents regarding moderate to complex billing questions, coverage questions, policy change requests and Certificates of Insurance.
Pay Rate : $22 / hour
If the candidate has an active P&C license the pay is $24 / hour.
Shift :
Mo - Fri, between 10 : 30am – 9pm EST.
Key Responsibilities :
- Handles incoming calls and emails from Customers and Agents regarding moderate to complex billing questions, coverage questions, policy change requests and Certificates of Insurance.
- Navigating multiple systems, Commercial Insurance product lines, involved billing systems and CSC workflows.
- After an acclimation period, Service Agents will be expected to meet a Productivity goal. This includes handling a combined average of 28 incoming calls and emails per day.
- In order to provide coverage for incoming calls and email volumes, scheduling of shifts is very structured. Team members are expected to meet a 94% adherence goal. Adherence is a goal based on following a daily schedule, which includes start and ending shifts on time, scheduled lunches and breaks, etc.
- Service Agents have an Average Handle time goal following acclimation.
- All calls will be recorded for Quality purposes, Quality is reviewed monthly.
Qualifications :
High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years of experience in a customer service, administrative environment (call center or remote work experience is preferred).Ability and willingness to get the Property and Casualty Insurance license within 90- days of starting the position (The employer will pay for the employee to attend the licensing class and will cover the cost for the initial licensing test).Comfortable navigating PCs and standard business software, and able to provide technical support and troubleshooting.Driven to be proficient with service delivery and quality metrics, insurance policy concepts, billing practices and technical troubleshooting skillsTO APPLY : Email Resume to : claudia.mendoza@randstadusa.com
