Role Description

This is an on-site, contract role located in Long Beach, CA for a Boat Captain. The Boat Captain will oversee the safe operation of the vessel, ensuring compliance with all US Coast Guard regulations and company policies. Key responsibilities involve navigation, managing the crew and passengers, performing routine maintenance, and providing exceptional customer service. The Captain will also facilitate training sessions and maintain logs and reports to ensure safety and operational efficiency throughout each journey.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Boating and operating commercial vessels, with a solid understanding of Boat maintenance and upkeep
• Demonstrated expertise in Navigation and knowledge of maritime safety and compliance protocols
• Strong Customer Service and interpersonal skills to manage passenger relations effectively
• Experience in training and mentoring crew members on safety and operational procedures
• Possession of an active US Coast Guard Captain's license, 50 ton or greater near coastal
• Knowledge of coastal and offshore operation standards, particularly in defense, oil and gas, or wind energy environments, is advantageous
• Ability to communicate clearly and lead a team while ensuring safety and efficiency
