Job descriptionPatient Demographics : Adults, Obstetrics & Gynecology Patient Volume / Census : 2030 deliveries per month Rounding : Included Phone Consults : Yes Case Mix : OB / GYN unit patients, ER consultations for OB / GYN cases Notes : No NICU; Level 2 OB unit; no circumcisions performed No. of Beds in Department : 80 Trauma Level : Level 2 OB Unit EMR System : Cerner Specialty Backup Available : Midwives, APN Support Staff Available : 2 Midwives, 1 APN Reason for Coverage : New Position Hospital Privileges Required : Yes (Full & Temp available) Temporary Privileges Available : Yes Credentialing Timeline : 90 days Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance : Covered (Airfare, Mileage, Rental Car, Lodging up to $150 / night) REQUIRED PROCEDURES Obstetric deliveries (2030 per month) OB consultations in ER General OB / GYN coverage Licenses : Active Illinois medical license (CSR required) Board : Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology DEA : Active DEA Certification required Certifications : ACLS, BLS Experience : Minimum 1 year in specialty Other Qualifications : Must be comfortable in Level 2 OB Unit Provide 24-hour OB / GYN call coverage Manage obstetric deliveries and inpatient cases Handle ER consultations for OB / GYN cases Collaborate with on-site MD, midwives, and APN staff Complete accurate documentation in Cerner EMR
