The Virginia Department of Health Profession's (DHP) mission is to ensure safe and competent patient care by licensing health professionals, enforcing standards of practice, and providing information to health care practitioners and the public.
This sworn position enforces the rules and regulations of the Department's 13 health regulatory boards as
well as all associated Virginia statutes and federal laws. Principal duties include independently investigating a variety of complaints of alleged violations against health care practitioners licensed, certified, or registered by the Department, and by submitting reports which clearly reflect investigative results in order to safeguard the lives, health, and safety of the citizens of the Commonwealth.
The district for this position is :
Region I, District 3
Counties of Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun, and Prince William; and the independent cities of Alexandria, Fairfax, Falls Church, and Manassas.
