About The Position

Must work 2 of the 3 holiday bundles (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's).
COVID vaccination required; exemptions accepted with completion of the exemption form signed by a provider for medical reasons.
Description :
This position involves working in an intensive care unit.
The patient-to-nurse ratio is typically 1 : 2 in the ICU.
The unit may have a mix of ICU, sub-acute, and floor status patients.
Experience in chest tube insertion, intubations, paracentesis, thoracentesis, CRRT, arterial lines, central lines, and venous catheters is essential.
Candidates must be capable of interpreting and managing dysrhythmias and managing multi-system organ failure.
IV insulin protocols and experience in GI surgery are also necessary.
Additional skills required include blood product administration, central line care, PICC line management, starting IVs, and administering continuous IV sedation.
Candidates should assist with ventilator management, phlebotomy, and surgical wounds with drains or wound vacuums.
Knowledge of sepsis, renal failure, ARDS, respiratory failure, diabetic ketoacidosis, ETOH withdrawal, orthopedic trauma, and bariatric care is preferred.
Staff support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy.
The facility operates in a community setting with a total of 65 staffed beds.
Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent clinical skills, adaptability to float as needed, and collaborative teamwork.
Travelers are welcome and must have personal transportation for the role.
