Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical-Surgical Telemetry float pool position with an active IL license and strong EPIC proficiency.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a hospital setting as part of the Nursing Resource Team float pool
  • Cares for patients in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units, with potential to float to the ED for boarders
  • Patient populations include Ortho, Neuro, Oncology, Cardiac Renal, and Rehab
  • Uses EPIC EMR and telemetry monitoring equipment
  • 12-hour night shifts with a weekly schedule of 36 hours
  • Every other weekend required
  • Rotating holiday coverage is required; must be available for 2 of the 3 main holidays
  • No on-call requirements
  • Responsibilities include providing nursing care across Med-Surg, Telemetry, and occasionally ED boarder patients
  • One-day orientation is provided on the day shift
  • Wears royal blue scrubs as per dress code
  • No care assignment for ED or ICU primary patients
  • High census, surge, and open volume needs drive this position
  • Must commit to a 13-week contract

  • Active Illinois RN license required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
  • At least 2 years of recent acute care experience in both Telemetry and Medical-Surgical settings
  • Must be proficient with EPIC EMR and able to pass a competency test
  • Ability to work all assigned shifts and float between units as needed
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
