Studentnest is a fast-growing nationwide tutoring company that provides tutoring to 8th-12th grade students in Math.

  • Los Alamitos, CA 90720

Job Details

Schedule :

  • Substitute position
  • Schedule : 8 : 00AM-12 : 30PM, 2-4 times per week
  • 9-18 hours per week
  • Orange County School District school sites. 2025-2026 school year

    • Job Highlights

  • Pay rate :

    • $22 per hour standard

  • $23 per hour if bilingual (Spanish or other preferred language based on site request)
  • $24 per hour if credentialed teacher or certificated tutor

    • Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of 60 units of college credits with a minimum of 1 year of tutoring experience in Math
  • Proficiency in high level math as tutoring is for high school students (Pre-Algebra, Geometry / Algebra 2)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and highly dependable
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Motivation and passion to help students achieve academic excellence
  • Must have reliable transportation for in-person tutoring. If driving, proof of insurance for your vehicle is needed
  • Must clear reference check & FBI / DOJ background check processes
  • Must provide a negative tuberculosis test (valid within the last 2 years)
  • Please provide a copy of any certification you hold such as a Teacher’s Credential / Certification or Tutor Certification
  • National Tutoring Association certification available to StudentNest tutors
