We are a family owned and operated company that seeks to build a healthy and dynamic team to service our diverse client base. Ocean State Planners is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer with residential design, civil site design, and on-site storm and wastewater treatment design experience. This individual would lead the engineering efforts of our firm, acting in responsible charge of all Engineering work documents. The company currently has multiple dedicated draftspersons that assist the Surveyors in plan preparation who will also be tasked to assist you in your drafting needs. With multiple field survey crews in-house, data collection is our firms current specialty, and we look forward to adding design work to complement it. Our clientele includes builders, real estate professionals, attorneys, and developers who work in all areas of Rhode Island. This necessitates that we have experience with the RIDEM permitting process for OWTS and Wetlands Applications, town-specific stormwater design and watershed regulation, RIDOT permitting procedures, and CRMC Applications. This position offers you the opportunity to develop a team capable of meeting the Civil Engineering needs of each of those challenges, while also being involved with client relations, scope creation and quoting, and project management. This opportunity will ask you to : Convey clear expectations, goals, and vision. Manage the preparation of engineering documents for a variety of project scopes. Motivate, coach, and mentor skilled professionals and delegate project work. Manage collaboration and conflict resolution to achieve successful results. Display good business sense and an understanding of project performance metrics. Requirements : A Bachelors degree or higher in Civil, Structural, or Environmental Engineering Licensure as a Professional Civil Engineer in the State of Rhode Island Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills Project Management experience Familiarity with AutoCAD, Carlson Suite a bonus
