DevOps Engineer
Location : Northern Virginia, remote schedule with occasional on-site requirements.
Pay : $150K+ (hourly equivalent)
Terms : 18+ month engagement, high likelihood of extension
Key Responsibilities :
- Custom scripting / coding
- Functional knowledge of current DevOps best practices
- Experience working within an Agile environment and working with product management
- Implement automation and workflows for IaC within AWS environment.
- Work with APIs to retrieve and process data efficiently.
- Deploy and manage data infrastructure in cloud environments (AWS required).
- Apply DevOps / GitOps practices
- Ensure systems and processes comply with relevant government certifications and security standards (e.g., STIG).
Required Qualifications :
Hands-on development experience with one or more of the following languages : C, C++, .NET, Java or GoAWS IaC solutions (terraform / terragrunt preferred)Kubernetes (EKS preferred)Gitlab CICommand Line InterfaceEmployment of Bastion Hosts for cloud ops and deploymentPreferred Skills :
TCP / IP networkingExperience with DOD network and cloud operations (BCAP, Impact Level control sets)Soft Skills :

Degree : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).Experience : 2-4+ years in software engineering, DevOps, SRE, or a related role.
