Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

3xLogic is a global business unit within Securitas Technology that designs and manufactures monitoring, intrusion, and access control solutions for commercial settings. In this role you will be embedded in the Access Control Software Engineering Team and will ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality.

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Become an expert in our products including software, IoT Hardware and integrations
• Collaborates with QA group to design, expand, and maintain test plans for a complex software system
• Key member of the Product Sprint team and required to actively participate in Sprint ceremonies
• Estimate, plan, and coordinate testing activities in conjunction with Agile sprint cadences
• Design test plans, test cases and track defects using Microsoft Azure DevOps
• Manually test both software, firmware and hardware and across Web (Cloud SaaS) and client-server instances
• Proactively identify areas where automation can significantly improve efficiency, and lead efforts to design and implement automated solutions
• Ensure releases are delivered with quality and reliability by ensuring thoroughness and consistency through SDLC processes and adhering to process controls
• Maintain a spirit of continuous improvement by identifying areas of refinement in process, technology, and professional development
• Work closely with Software, Firmware and Hardware Engineering Teams, Product Owner and Technical Support to understand end user interactions and expectations along with technical processes to translate into effective test plans
• Coach integrated team on QA processes and best practices
• Responsible for communicating status of testing activities including dependencies and implications to upcoming milestones and deliverables
• Confirm and sign-off on readiness for production releases

Identify situationally appropriate automated testing tools and technologies while aligning with business strategies

Key Qualifications

Electronics based QA methodology, processes, and deliverables

Experience testing the interdependence of software, firmware, hardware, and third-party integrations
