Geriatric Medicine - Inpatient Focused

Our flagship hospital, Baystate Medical Center, is home to the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School-Baystate. We are seeking an experienced Geriatrician to join our staff.

Position Highlights :

• Join the Division of Geriatric Medicine which consists of 3 physicians and 4 advanced practitioners at the first age-friendly health system in the U.S., as recognized by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement.
• Candidates will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to grow and develop the inpatient geriatric program at Baystate Medical Center, a 700+ bed academic medical center in Springfield, MA.
• See a wide variety of cases and patient types on our consults-only inpatient service; the ideal candidate also has an interest in geriatric trauma surgery consults. Leadership is committed to your professional satisfaction and work / life balance - no call, nights, or weekends.
• Enjoy a combination of clinical care & teaching with a faculty appointment to UMass Chan Medical School-Baystate. Clinical research and QI / safety projects are available and encouraged.  In addition to geriatric fellows, you will have the opportunity to teach residents, medical students, and other learners.
