Psychiatric - Mental Health Physician

We are seeking a board-certified Psychiatrist for a locum tenens assignment in California, providing psychiatric oversight to both FQHC and skilled nursing facility cases. This 6-month contract begins on Oct 1, 2025, and involves monthly chart reviews performed on your own time, with availability for business hours calls and quarterly reviews. The position offers a flexible schedule within standard business hours (8am-5pm PST) and the opportunity to collaborate with an expanding team of PMHNPs. Job Details Location : California Facility Type : FQHC and Skilled Nursing Facilities Start Date : Oct 1, 2025 LOA : 6 months Provider Type Needed : Psychiatrist Schedule : Monthly position; chart reviews in own time, available for PMHNP calls during business hours (8am-5pm PST) Responsibilities and Duties Review and oversee psychiatric cases for FQHC and skilled nursing facility patients Collaborate with and review 10 percent of charts for PMHNPs on staff (currently 2, expanding to 4) Conduct quarterly performance reviews for PMHNPs Be available for consultation and support via phone during business hours as needed Utilize eClinicalWorks for documentation and chart review Additional Information Must have an active California medical license CAQH, NPDB, PECOS, MEDICARE, and MEDICAL credentials required Experience in both FQHC and skilled nursing facility settings is preferred Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
